Permit Filings Confirm: Villains Land Has Begun Vertical Construction
New documents filed with Orange County reveal the first structural steel for the long-rumored Villains Land has been delivered to a Magic Kingdom backlot site.

Six months after ground was broken behind the Magic Kingdom's western berm, the first signs of vertical construction on Villains Land are now visible — both in the field and in newly-filed permit documents.
The filings, submitted late Friday, describe steel-frame structures rising up to 86 feet, with parapets designed to evoke a 'fortress silhouette' visible from inside the park's Liberty Square and Frontierland.
